Those who enroll after the course has started will have access to the remaining live sessions and to the full recordings of all sessions, which will be available for one month after the course ends.

Mario is a Partner at Pirola, Pennuto, Zei & Associati (Milan) and specializes in tax matters for the sports industry. He has advised sports clubs and professional athletes (including footballers and drivers) on international transfers, sponsorship agreements, and image rights. He has extensive experience in international taxation and EU tax law.

What will you learn?
Master international taxation and transfers. Participants will gain a strategic vision of the international framework, understanding double taxation treaties, tax residency, and the specific tax implications of player transfers to know how to structure a deal efficiently.
Manage the taxation of athlete income (performance and image). Beyond theory, participants will learn to critically analyze the tax treatment of salaries and bonuses, and will develop action plans for structuring image rights companies and managing royalties to optimize and protect the athlete’s wealth.
Analyze the taxation of the industry’s major revenues. Participants will position themselves one step ahead by analyzing the taxation of broadcasting rights, merchandising, and licensing agreements, as well as the specific tax challenges of organizing major international sports events.
Develop planning and defense techniques in a case study. Participants will acquire practical and advanced skills in a final roundtable, applying everything learned to a real-world case study on an international football transfer, to build a successful and compliant tax strategy.
