Goals
The Course in Football Law consists of 48 teaching hours where the student will be immersed in the most relevant legal aspects of football, from the drafting and negotiation of contracts, to the management of transfers and conflict resolution:
Legal structure of football. How leagues, clubs and federations are organised and regulated on a global and local level.
Contracts and transfers. Laws governing player contracts, training rights and solidarity mechanisms.
Financial fair play. Regulations that seek to maintain fairness in competition, avoiding corruption and doping.
Image rights and sponsorship. Legal aspects related to commercial agreements and the exploitation of players’ image.
Dispute resolution. Proceedings before the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS/CAS) and other mediation and arbitration mechanisms.
