Methodology
Live and at your own pace
Live sessions are the heart of our program. We always encourage attendance because that’s where the magic happens: real-time debate, the resolution of complex questions, and the creation of a valuable network of contacts with other professionals in the field.
However, we understand the daily demands of the sports world. For this reason, if you can’t attend a class, don’t worry. All sessions are recorded, and you will have access to them for a set period so you can catch up or review the content at your own pace.
Flexible enrollment
You have until December 31st, 2026, to enroll in the course. Although the live sessions take place from September 14 to November 2, upon enrollment, you will gain immediate access to all recordings of the sessions that have already taken place.
What will you learn in this course?
Through a comprehensive 36-hour syllabus distributed in 15 sessions, this Course in Sports Arbitration covers the entire lifecycle of a proceeding before the CAS:
Foundations & Structure: Deepen your understanding of the CAS institutional framework, its regulatory system (Code of Sports-related Arbitration), and specialized divisions such as the Ad Hoc and Anti-Doping Divisions.
Procedural Strategy: Learn to navigate the arbitral journey from initiation to evidentiary strategy, covering the request for arbitration, panel selection, jurisdictional objections, and bifurcation.
Evidence & Advocacy: Master the practical skills of arbitration, including the drafting of legal submissions, witness preparation, and cross-examination techniques.
Leading Case Law: Analyze the most significant precedents in sports history, with a specific focus on football disputes and doping cases.
Real-Case Simulations: The program culminates in two moot cases—one ordinary proceeding (football) and one appeal proceeding (doping)—where you will practice legal argumentation in realistic settings.
